About The Charity
Colorado Veterans Support, Inc. is a charitable organization created for the purpose of supporting Veterans of the United States Military. Colorado Veterans Support, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Donations are fully tax deductible.
The members of the Board of Trustees of Colorado Veterans Support, Inc. are Bob Schuetze, Tom Metz, Mary Peterson, Don Cooke, Saeed Karim, Kelly Mendicino, Peter Aweida, Kevin Bolles, JoAnna Faith, Shaun Davies, Kay Clagett, Steve Taniguchi and Bill Holmes . The administration of Colorado Veterans Support, Inc. is 100% voluntary.
Our primary fund raising has been through a golf event held annually in Boulder, Colorado. All the money raised goes to our Student Veterans at the University of Colorado. We are also listed as a charity to receive donations through purchases made at Amazon Smile and through Kroger Community Rewards. - You or your organization’s name will be included in all promotional materials from date of commitment forward as the Presenting Sponsor for the event.
- You or your organization’s name will be featured prominently on a professionally printed banner in the golf staging area on the day of the event.
- You will receive 2 foursomes at the golf tournament.
- You will have the opportunity for a table at registration for displaying and handing out promotional materials for your organization.
- You will receive public recognition and thanks at the awards party following the golf tournament and at the check presentation to the Veterans Services Office at the University of Colorado in the fall.
- You or your organization’s name will be featured on a professionally printed banner in the golf staging area on the day of the event.

Provide Beer and Soft Drinks for a Beverage Cart on the Golf Course for the tournament.

- Your organization’s name will be prominently displayed on a professionally printed sign on one of 15 golf holes.
- Your sponsorship will be exclusive for that golf hole.
- You will have the opportunity to hand out prizes and promotional materials at the golf hole
- You will be able to honor a friend or family member for their service in the United States Military. Their name and a brief description of their service will be displayed on a banner at the awards ceremony and celebration following the golf tournament. There will be a special presentation at the awards ceremony in dedication of each honorarium presented by a military officer.

This Is What Patriots Day Has Accomplished Thanks to Our Generous Sponsors and Donors
- Colorado Veterans Support, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity created to provide financial support to Student Veterans at CU Boulder. The administration of CVS, Inc. is 100% voluntary. No one receives any salary or other remuneration. All of the money raised, after the expenses of holding the Patriots Day event are paid, goes to the Student Veterans.
- The event started in 2014 and in seven years, it has raised $537,000. The Patriots Day event not only raises money but it also demonstrates strong support for the veterans who have put off their education to serve our nation.
- Funds raised to date have been used to provide approximately 150 scholarships and helped to fund the ambassador program and the summer bridge program.
- The ambassador program pairs an upper class Student Veteran with an incoming veteran student to help guide them to a successful start at CU.
- The summer bridge program provides counseling and tutoring to incoming Student Veterans to assist them in the transition from military to academic life.
- We have also created the Colorado Veterans Support Endowed Scholarship Fund which has a current principal balance of over $300,000. The purpose of this fund is to provide financial support to full-time undergraduate or graduate students who are veterans of the United States Armed Forces in perpetuity.
